For more information, see [About GitHub Copilot Memory](/en/copilot/concepts/agents/copilot-memory).\n\n## Enabling Copilot Memory\n\nFor enterprise- and organization-managed Copilot subscriptions, Copilot Memory is off by default and must be enabled in the enterprise or organization settings.\n\nOnce Copilot Memory is enabled, the feature is on for users by default. Copilot Memory will be used in any repository in which users use supported Copilot features, and it will save both repository-level facts and user-level preferences. Individual users can opt out of Copilot Memory in their account settings.\n\n> \\[!NOTE]\n> If a user is assigned a Copilot subscription by more than one organization, the most restrictive setting applies—that is, Copilot Memory will not be used unless all of those organizations have enabled this feature.\n\n### Enabling Copilot Memory for an enterprise\n\n1. Navigate to your enterprise. For example, from the [Enterprises](https://github.com/settings/enterprises?ref_product=ghec\\&ref_type=engagement\\&ref_style=text) page on GitHub.com.\n2. At the top of the page, click ** AI controls**.\n3. In the sidebar, click ** Copilot**.\n4. Under \"Features & clients,\" click **Configure features & clients**.\n5. Under \"Features\", scroll down to the **Copilot Memory** setting and select a policy from the dropdown.\n\n### Enabling Copilot Memory for an organization\n\nOrganization owners can enable or disable Copilot Memory for all members of the organization with a Copilot license.\n\nIf the organization belongs to an enterprise, the ability for organization owners to enable or disable Copilot Memory may be controlled by the enterprise-level policy.\n\n1. In the upper-right corner of GitHub, click your profile picture, then click ** Organizations**.\n2. Select an organization by clicking on it.\n3. Under your organization name, click ** Settings**. If you cannot see the \"Settings\" tab, select the **** dropdown menu, then click **Settings**.\n\n \n4. In the sidebar, under \"Code, planning, and automation\", click ** Copilot**, then click **Policies**.\n5. Under \"Features\", scroll down to the setting for **Copilot Memory**.\n6. Click the dropdown button and select **Enabled**.\n\n Copilot Memory is enabled for all members of the organization who have a Copilot license.\n\n## Managing repository-level facts\n\nAs an administrator of a repository in which Copilot Memory is in use, you can review the currently stored repository-level facts. If you think any are inappropriate, misleading, or incorrect, you can delete them.\n\n1. On GitHub, navigate to the main page of the repository.\n2. Under your repository name, click ** Settings**. If you cannot see the \"Settings\" tab, select the **** dropdown menu, then click **Settings**.\n\n \n3. In the sidebar, under \"Code, planning, and automation\", click Copilot, then click **Memory**.\n4. You will see a list of repository-level facts, which you can delete as needed.\n\n## Managing user-level preferences for an organization\n\nAs an administrator, you can export or delete all user-level preferences that were generated with your organization as the active billing entity. For more information on the ownership model, see [About GitHub Copilot Memory](/en/copilot/concepts/agents/copilot-memory#user-level-preferences).\n\n### Exporting user-level preferences\n\nYou can export user-level preferences in JSONL format. You can do this for everyone at once or for individual users.\n\n1. On GitHub, navigate to the main page of the organization.\n2. Under your organization name, click ** Settings**.
